The Month of April is for Smiling

Hello guys,

I don’t think I’ve been so excited that the weekend is almost upon us! I mean I can’t be the only one that thinks this week is dragging.

Since we are almost going into a new month, I thought I’d decide to share with you guys lovely quotes to help you stay positive through the month of April.

I have realised over the few months that I can be very hard on myself over the simplest thing that most people would brush off as a stupid error. I have also realised that when something good happens to me, I never really enjoy that moment, I am just constantly waiting for that good thing to be taken away from me. I just constantly feel like the world is teasing me. It’s like you know when you are about to give a kid sweet or something and just as they are about to take it from you with a big smile on their face, you quickly yank it away from them and have it all to yourself. Not sure that’s a good example, but that is usually what I feel like happens to me so rather than me embracing that good moment, it seems like I have taken comfort in drowning in my negativity.

What I have decided for the month of April, is to look at new quotes every day that keeps me positive and gets me through the day.

So here you go guys! I hope you save some quotes in your camera roll, share it on your Instagram or plaster it all over your room.

"Do not worry that your life is turning upside down. How do you know that the side you are used to is better than the one to come?"

"Whatever you’re facing today, keep going. Keep moving. Keep hoping. Keep pressing on. There is victory on the other side."

"You can’t expect good things to appear in your life when all you focus on is bad, just like your dreams will not come true until you have the courage to chase them. Get off your backside and work for the things you want, you’ll be surprised what will come your way when you have the will to pursue them."

"Stop letting those voices get to you, you are your own worst critic. We point out our own flaws as if we want to hurt ourselves, give yourself some love and give yourself time to heal, you are worth more than your ‘bad bits’. You are worth more than staring at yourself in disgust. You are a masterpiece, and not the type to frame in a museum, the type that shows us what freedom truly is."

Until next time,

MAKEUP SLAY ON A BUDGET

Hello Dollies,

Aren’t ya glad tis the weekend!

Today’s post is sort of an updated post I did a while ago. Since then, I have definitely changed my makeup game (thank God) but I have stuck with using products that are in-expensive and will still get the job done. I still love me some high-end products but when I’m usually going to work or college or just doing something casual, I usually opt for my affordable makeup products. I do use these products on a night out and would just change up the foundation I use (don’t want any of my babies feeling left out).

All the products mentioned in this post do not go beyond €20 except the eyeshadow, but the reason for this will be explained.

This makeup products are quite cheap and honestly guys, the qualities are great!

*Any products with a direct link to the website can be found by clicking the tittle of the product*

BROWS:

NYX Micro Brow Wiz

Price: €7.95 Boots online (€10.50)

It is really pigmented and after the first two use, you don’t have to press as hard to define your brows. You also have the freedom to do your brows as you desire (light or thick). And my favourite thing about this product is that it is a brow wiz so therefore you don’t need to constantly sharpen it!

You can find this online at Boots, Boots in Jervis shopping centre or at a pharmacy with an NYX stand.

CONCEALER:
NYX Concealer Wand - €7

These are my ride or die concealer that I have been using for a long time now. I normally use one or the other to highlight my face, clean up my brows and as a primer for my eyeshadow.
You can find NYX Concealer Wand online at Boots, Boots in Jervis shopping centre or at a pharmacy with an NYX stand.  L.A girl can be found on Beauty Bay.

EYESHAWDOW:

Morphe Palettes - around €26

Morphe 35B

Morphe 35F

Morphe 350M
This palettes are so pigmented! I would honestly recommend them to everyone as you are getting so much colour for such a little price, especially when you compare them to other palettes.
You can find these palettes on Beauty Bay and you getting free shipping once you spend over €18!

FOUNDATION:

If I am being honest, when I bought this foundation, I didn’t have any high expectations due to the price I purchased it at but guys, this foundation is the bomb.com (do people still say that?)
My favourite thing about this brand is the shade range available like yes BH Cosmetics, show these high-end brands how it is done!
I got the shade Deep Ebony but it is just a tad bit darker than me but I once conceal and everything, I am good to go.
I actually wore this foundation on a night out before, and I got lovely comments from my friends (not because they have to!)

I mostly wear this foundation to college and to work.

You can get this foundation on BH Cosmetics, but the shipping depends on the amount of stuff on your basket, so be wise my dear.

COUNTOR:
Sleek Contour Palette - €13.49

I am not going to go into details about this as I already have a full blog post on it, if you would like to have a read of it, you can find it here. It contains a contour powder, highlighter and a bronzer.

SETTING POWDER:
Penneys banana powder - €4.00

This is my favourite powder to bake with (I’m good at baking, wife me already). I have been using this powder for 3-4 months now and I absolutely love it! There is also so much in it. I usually don’t put much on my face just to avoid looking like Casper the friendly ghost.
You can find this at any Penneys store.

HIGHLITERS:

Sleek Highlighting Palette - €13.49

The BH Cosmetics highlighter comes with 14 sets of eyeshadow and you can buy it on BH Cosmetics website
Sleek Highlighting Palette compliments all skin tone and it includes all skin tones with three luxurious velvet cream formulas and one powder.

LIPSTICK:
I don’t know if you can tell, but I am a big fan of lipgloss so I hardly wear lipsticks. I have recently been branching out and trying different things. Sleek and NYX have really affordable lipsticks and different shades to choose from.
I do find the sleek liquid lipstick to be a bit drying but this can always be solved by appling lip balm before applying the liquid lipstick or applying gloss over it!

SETTING SPRAY:

If you are looking for a setting spray, you can always get the urban decay travel size bottle for €12, and they actually last for a long period of time!
And that bring us to the end of this post! I hope you have enjoyed reading this.
Until next time,
Lola

You Should Spoil Yourself.

Hey guys, today's post is all about why you should treat yourself and two of the things I've decided to treat myself with.

I've been on this money is meant to be spent vibe lately and to be honest, This doesn't always have to be a bad thing, well when you can actually see where your money is going. Right, before I get into this post, I'm not saying go ahead and go out every week and spend €100 on drinks! Treating yourself is something I would say you do once in a while so you're not left broke till Jesus comes back to earth.

Treating yourself doesn't exactly have to mean you splash a huge amount of money either. If you can afford to go out every week, baby girl nobody is stopping you. simply treat yourself to whatever you think you deserve.

You never know when you are going to leave this earth but I hope you do know that you will be taking nothing with you. You're young, go out, have fun and make memories that will last a lifetime.

If it's your 4 bundle hair you want to treat yourself with, go ahead. If you want to go to all the festivals in the world girl you better do it (just please come home safely) and if it's that dream car you're treating yourself with, then yes go you.

And please don't forget to spoil yourself with happiness, love, laughter and every good thing you can find in this world. Not just sometimes, but every day of your life. Do you know why? Because you deserve it.

A while I ago, I decided I was going to treat myself to a new phone and God knows I deserved it. I treated myself to an iPhone 7 because it was what I really wanted and I knew the camera quality will be useful to me once I started blogging again (see mom, I'm always thinking ahead). I also decided to get myself a new foundation to reward myself for finally joining the gym. I got the Makeup Forever Ultra HD Foundation. Guys, if you haven't tried this foundation, you need to get yourself one asap!!

Remember guys, you only have one life to live (unless you get to come back as an animal, I dunno) so live it WELL!

Thank you guys for taking the time to read this post :)

Bye for now,
Lola.

ANOTHER INTRODUCTION

Hey guys!

Is it too late to wish you a happy new year?

As you can probably guess from the title of my blog, I'm introducing you to my blog AGAIN! I'm going for that New year, New me vibe? No but seriously, I know I haven't blogged in a hot minute but I do have a good reason for this. I have honestly been so busy being a full time student and basically a full time employee (working 25+ hours a week is not fun guys). But ya girl needed money.
Now that I have started my internship, I seem to have a bit more time on my hands so I have decided I think it's time I stop being lazy and pick up blogging again.

And why did I call this post another Introduction?

Well let me tell you. I am introducing you to a new and better Where The Beauty Begins. What exactly does this mean? I am determined to actually put in a bit more effort this time around. I was looking over my previous post to see what you were  interested in and it seems like my personal post and affordable makeup products I wrote a while ago gained a lot of attention, so I am going to be doing a mixture of both (Not 100% sure yet). Also if you have any suggestions on what you would like me to write about, you can always hit me up!

I am not going to lie, but I am a bit nervous to be doing this again so please be patient with me.

See you soon,

My Go To Lashes

If you know me, you know the only time I would ever spend lots of €€€€ is when I'm buying a foundation. I was convinced once to spend €35 on a bloody primer but sure that's another story for another day. I prefer to spend less when it comes to beauty products such as fake lashes, mascara etc. I personally believe you don't have to go all out to look like queen B and to be quite honest, you don't even have to spend lots on your foundation, I just find it quite difficult to find my shade when it comes to foundations that are affordable *sigh*

Anyways, let’s back to the main reason for this post! I am sharing with you, my go to lashes that are so gorgeous  and most importantly inexpensive.

My sister actually ordered these lashes online for me and I am absolutely in love with them but I am more in love with the price it retails for. I got two lashes, one for an everyday look and the other is more dramatic for a night out.
*You can click the title of each lashes to find them at Ali-Express*

Dramatic lashes:

Similar :

                              Price : €2.77 but on a sale for €1.88

Features:
100% Brand new 5 pairs long thick false eyelashes
.Make your eyes look bright and attractive
.For party and daily use
.Can be removed by eye makeup remover
.Simple to use and comfortable to wear
.Match your causal and party makeup

.Can be used many times if they are used and removed properly

I am so in love with these lashes like as it is so easy to apply! I struggle with applying lashes hence why I don't wear them often so when I tried these lashes, I was quite surprised at how easily I got them on. The lashes come in a pack which contains five pairs of lashes. This is a quite a bargain and you can re-use them if you keep them in a good condition of course.

To be quite honest, My main reason for picking these lashes was because of the packaging!
It’s so pink and cute. I find these lashes to be more difficult to apply but of course, you don't have to worry about this if you are a pro at applying lashes! I love it so much as it can be worn for an everyday look or even when you are going out! You do have to cut it in order fit your eye shape as it is quite long but other than that, the quality is really good especially for  the price you’re getting it at. This box also contains five pairs of lashes and as you can see from above, I used mine quite a lot! Silly me forgot to keep the used pair in a safe place.

The lashes do not come with a glue so you do have to purchase one. You can use any glue for these lashes, the glue I use is from E-Bay which I got a while ago. I must also warn you, if you are looking to grab your hands one of the lashes, it does take about 3-4 weeks to come! You’ll be very disappointed if you order them three days before your night out.

Thank you guys for reading this post! If you do order the lashes or you have experiences with shopping on Ali-express, do let me know!

Until next time,
Lola.

COLLEGE X BLOG UPDATE

Hey dolls! I hope you're all surviving with studying and everything else that life is throwing at you. Today's blog post is non-beauty related but just a little chit chat about my blog and, of course, my date with my not so hot boyfriend – college work!

So first of all, I'm thinking of changing my blogs name! I absolutely love my blogs name due to the meaning behind it but I feel like its about time I change into something a little bit more simple as I feel like Where The Beauty Begins is way too long. Now this could be due to the fact that I'm going through this crazy phase of trying to change everything about myself so I am not 100% sure if I will change it. I am also thinking of adding new stuff to my blog  but every time I'm about to hit the publish button on a personal post, I freak out and literally delete it. Any suggestions on how to get over this fear will deeply be appreciated.

I am also thinking of creating a YouTube Channel but my main focus would not be on makeup. So basically this blog would be dedicated to beauty related topics and my YouTube channel would be about other stuff like dealing with insecurities, my religion and often reviews on products. I am not too sure when this will happen as I need to buy a camera and to be honest I feel quite nervous posting a video of myself on YouTube, that’s a big step for me!

I have many ideas of topics I want to discuss but with college and studying taking up my life, I am left with so little time to focus on my blog. I know this sounds like a lot of excuses but this semester is really stressful which I will explain the reason in a future post, that's if I make it out of this bleeding war with college alive. Pfft go to college they said!

And that brings up to end of this post, if you think I should my change my blog's name and if you have any suggestions, let me know!

See you in my next post,
Lola.
